About the Hosts
Skeery Jones has been with radio’s nationally syndicated Elvis Duran & the Morning Show as the Executive Producer and On Air Personality since its inception in 1996. Also known for his funny and entertaining Phone Taps (the daily practical joke prank phone call), Skeery often plays funny characters such as the relentless, repetitive, soft-spoken telemarketer: “Mr. Michael Oppenheimer.” Skeery connects with loyal listeners offering advice and tips on restaurants, nightlife and hospitality. As a Brooklyn native who moved to New Jersey, Skeery isn’t afraid to speak his mind.
He’s passionate and enthusiastic about what he stands for, authentic and transparent, telling it like it is, which is why listeners trust and embrace his unapologetic “real” talk style. He’s a huge local NY sports fan and he loves exploring new cities. At his core, Skeery is a social butterfly and highly engaged in pop culture events. You can often find him trying out the newest bars, restaurants, lounges or on stage emceeing ribbon cuttings, grand openings and cultural and charity events. Skeery is best described as a curious guy who is open to new experiences and taking on new challenges.
David Brody was a longtime member of Elvis Duran and The Morning Show, known for his comedy writing, song parodies, prank phone calls and lightning fast wit. David is from Brooklyn, NY and that shaped his very opinionated personality. If he has an opinion, you’ll know it! He is passionate in the things he believes in, even though he’ll admit (years later) that he might have been wrong!
David is a childhood cancer survivor who lives to make people laugh and believes he was born to entertain people. He loves Chinese Food, pizza and chicken parm and considers himself a connoisseur on all of those foods, always on the lookout for the best parm, roast pork lo mein (no vegetables) and Sicilian slice! David loves his family, his dogs and, The Mets. He believes that Heinz is the only ketchup and F dill. He also enjoys a good deal and appreciates good customer service and much as he’s bothered by bad customer service. This is where his wildly popular “Free Dessert” and “Even Is Not Even” theories come from. If a restaurant burns your steak, simply remaking it 20 min later is not even. They owe you free dessert!
David loves and appreciates the listeners of The Brooklyn Boys podcast for appreciating who he really is. He does his best to respond to all of their comments and messages on social media. #BrodyAndSkeery
